With similar conditions to Colwyn Bay, Abergele provides easier sailing and is more popular with the locals as a result. The best conditions are NW and NE, which create flat water sailing conditions excellent for speed sailing. This is an ideal location if none of the other major beaches in the area have good conditions. However, this is not the best place for beginners, as there is a fairly strong rip tide.
