BROAD HAVEN
This W facing sandy beach offers excellent wave sailing conditions as Atlantic rollers meet the gently shelving beach. These waves can vary between a gentle swell to 6ft breakers depending on the conditions. The best wind directions are WSW to SW (best for waves) and NE (starboard tack) as these offer the best cross onshore sailing conditions, S is gusty but sailable and used when Newgale is too big. Apart from the waves, Broad Haven also boasts some great flat water sailing and if the conditions are right, this location is ideal for learning.
