BROADHAVEN SOUTH
This gently shelving beach works in most wind directions and offers a wide range of sailing experiences. In SW winds cross onshore from the left normally throws up a good swell and waves can range from 2 – 3ft to enormous! In these conditions visitors are advised to get to the beach early because it can get very crowded. Other wind at Broadhaven South directions also work well and sailing conditions can range from flat water in NW winds to 5 – 6ft swells in N and NW winds. However, the shorebreak can become powerful in big wave and wind conditions, so beginners are recommended to check the forecast before choosing this location, as the conditions must be suited to the ability.
