CHURCH BAY
A large reef break at Church Bay means that this sand and rock beach has some of the fastest waves in Europe. In strong onshore winds, the waves can get fairly big and intermediate sailors may have problems if not used to the conditions. However, less experienced sailors may prefer light wind conditions, as the sea is generally calmer, the only dangers being a slight rip tide at the S end of the beach.
