A longboard beach ideal for beginners in SW as it faces east and is quite sheltered, but once you head out into the bay you’ll get the full force of the wind. The current from the River Dart isn’t too strong and you’ll be sailing in the shadow of Dartford Castle. Compass Cove has a less harsh shore break than Blackpool Sands.
