Sailing is only possible at Llanelli Beach for one hour either side of high tide and with inconsistent winds, this is not really a good place to sail. The only useful conditions come from NW winds when Burry Port is sheltered, and if the wind is blowing any other direction go elsewhere. Dangers include strong tides and a large, sand bank about 150 metres from the shore.
