AVAILABLE ON

LLANSTEFFAN

This sandy E facing beach only offers one hour sailing either side of high tide. The best winds are NNE and SSW, either blowing up or down the estuary as this makes ideal cross-shore conditions. If the wind is blowing W, it is better to cross the estuary and sail from Ferryside as there can be a wind shadow at Llansteffan. The water is usually flat making this beach ideal for beginners in light winds and during slack tides. Once again, the tides are the only real dangers and beginners should check that they are not being swept downstream without realising.
