TEIGNMOUTH
The best spots are off the town beach and in the river mouth. Suitable for most levels, beginners should keep clear of the river mouth itself. Depending on the size of your board the best winds are N to S. If the wind is a strong W to NW, sail up the River Teign to Coombe Cellar pub and restaurant, there’s good sailing either side of high tide next to the car park and pub. In strong E to NE winds there’s some superb wave riding and jumping on the sand bar in the river mouth. For experts only, it’s best in flood tides to high. Easy access to launch points.
