Background
The Vandal Enemy is an all-round classic wave sail, it was re-designed for 2011 and remains unchanged for 2012

At a glance
It has a classic, wave shape, with five battens and full X-ply re-enforcement throughout. The build quality and materials of this sail are top notch, so there is a lot more to it than just stylish graphics. The graphics will definitely get you noticed on the water but it is also highly functional, so your riding should make you standout more.

Rigging
The recommended mast is a 400 RDM, we tested the sail with a Vandal Flux 400, which worked perfectly in the sail. It has a good tuning range and can be easily tuned to suit the conditions or wind strength.

On the water
The Enemy is well balanced, with a neutral feel. It has a decent low-down forward pull that is very easy to control by slight adjustments with your backhand. The moderate power output is very effective at getting you planing as early as possible and while blasting around, it is very comfortable, even in rough conditions. The wind range, on the water, is very impressive and it also doesn’t require constant tuning to get the most out of it, in super windy conditions, it stays in control and never feels out of control.
On the wave it delivers just the right amount of power to keep your speed through turns but the best thing it does is go completely neutral when you want to switch it off and forget about it during moves.

Summing up
A great all-round wave sail that is built to a very high standard, it is an efficient and effective classic wave sail that works superbly in all conditions. The styling wont be to everyones’ taste but the performance certainly will.
