John Carter and Ross Williams face the ultimate challenge in their U.K. home waters – a boat mission out the treacherous Needles lighthouse on the westernmost tip of the Isle of Wight.
After spending half my life traveling to many of the world’s most stunning stretches of coastline, the conclusion I’ve come to is, when it comes to sheer beauty, the western tip of the Isle of Wight holds its own with pretty much anywhere I’ve set my eyes on.
When we first introduced Windsurf’s U.K. COAST series, finding breath-taking backdrops around the country was one of the main goals and the Needles was always high on my list of places to capture.
I’ve shot there a few times in the past, but never for this COAST series so I have no guilt at all to return to my own backyard to capture this amazing natural wonder.
