COAST – EYE OF THE NEEDLES!

When I made it up there I came close to the boat to see how JC wanted to do the shoot. It was at this moment I saw that my girlfriend hadn’t survived the journey as well as the rest of us. In fact she wasn’t looking too well at all, choosing to keep her head down over the side of the boat for most of the time we were there. I’m not even sure she fully got to see the whole of the area in all its beauty.  Poor ‘Schatzi’! But the shoot had to go on …

The wind was perfect and I was able to blast in and out of the large white chalk rocks that protruded out of the rapidly moving water while JC and our Skipper positioned and then repositioned the boat to shoot a whole range of angles. As the time passed by I began to feel more relaxed in the surroundings and my fear factor had almost completely gone allowing me to sail closer to this incredible structure that used to serve as a warning to all other ocean-goers to stay well away. Quite ironic really.
