Many boats have been lost out here and therefore it is imperative to have a decent RIB with a driver who knows these waters like the back of their hand! Calling in a few favours I finally find a driver called James who just happens to own an ex-lifeboat 8m RIB. The perfect craft for this operation. The only problem is that James is a keen kitesurfer and was hungry for a session of his own. I finally persuade him with a small financial bribe and promises of ale and at last it was game-on and time to head out to this iconic landmark.
