THE CHASE – TIMO MULLEN
When I see a storm looming I look for my ‘Brownie points’ book, which is hopefully in the same place as my excuses book, which hopefully is in the same place as my broken promises book! Seriously I normally look for someone else to sail with primarily. My gear is always ready, I am always ready, it just comes down to making sure I am hopefully in the right spot!
I don’t necessarily look for the biggest waves and strongest winds. Number one choice is normally the waves, to be where it is biggest and most side-shore. Wind strength isn’t such a factor then. If it seems pretty onshore everywhere then for sure I’ll try and hunt out the strongest wind to get the biggest jumps possible!
