The entire coast was shut down and closed out. Just coming out of the harbour was scary enough. Carvill is a hell man, he is a lunatic and Bjoern is also pretty hard-core, there is not much he won’t do. But we were all really nervous about just being in the boat. Anyway we made it up there which took a while. All you could see was sea, sky, sea, sky as we motored through the swells. It was daunting to say the least. I wasn’t rushing to get out once we were there. I remember we parked the boat up and Scott threw the anchor down, bearing in mind this is the first time that reality was setting in that I was going to actually sail Jaws. A massive set came through which looked like Jaws was going to close out and connect to the wave that comes to the lighthouse. Now I have never seen that before. Carvill still to this day has never thought that could even happen. He was screaming to us that we were going to have to jump out of the boat. That is how gnarly it was. I was scared for my life. This was my first time at Jaws and all this drama was going down.
