Portland harbour is a fantastic introduction to the world of speed sailing. It’s where it all started and still has a lot to offer whether you are a beginner or expert. It’s a super venue, great for long weekends with loads of places to stay. You can camp in your van at the Academy for a small fee or there are loads of good value B&B’s around. Best breakfast is Quiddles on Chesil Beach, just up from the best pub around, the Cove Inn, which is good for an evening meal too. Best Indian is Khazana just up from the harbour towards Weymouth and if you want to venture into Weymouth itself, you are spoilt with a fantastic choice of great restaurants and nightlife. Hope to see you on the water there!
