ITALIAN STYLE
We are based in Italy and 90% of the staff in the company are Italian. Our official language is English in the company. More and more people are coming in from overseas. We have a Dutch marketing manager. We have a lot of International Team riders, we have English and South African product managers. We have a bunch of guys that are really crucial to the development of the company as well who are not Italian. When it boils down to, ‘let us say’ the DNA of the company, then yes there is a lot of Italian DNA which lives and breathes in our products. I have always been considering myself and the people around me very internationally orientated. We are always thinking way outside of our geographical borders; that is one of the reasons why RRD in the end has been a successful international brand so far. I was taught a lesson by one of our distributors a long time ago, if you want to be successful for instance in Germany, then you have to have a bit of German in the brand. The same with any other country, America, France and Spain. There is a little bit of every country in RRD. It is good to keep your roots and keep your DNA, but for sure every market in every country is different.
