My fellow Brit., Leigh Kingaby, and I on one of our days off sailed at La Tejita, which is the other side of Montana Rocha in Medano. The conditions here are much flatter, as the wind is offshore and we found it much better for tuning and set up. The real bonus was we had the place all to ourselves; I highly recommend it as an alternative spot but beware of the shore dump! Both I and my husband Pete have fallen in love with Medano and even bought a house here so we can come out more often. It has something for everyone, not just the racers, if you have not been you should definitely put it on your to do list. The training has paid off as I am now back in the UK and at the first BSA slalom event of the year in Weymouth I had my best result so far with a 5th place overall and 2nd lady in my fleet. Happy Days!
