JC: A few years ago the windsurfing world was rocked when Brawzinho switched from Fanatic/North over to Goya. It was one of those moves that the market least expected, but with Brawzinho making his base on Maui and riding Ho’okipa as his home break the transition seems to have paid off.
MB: It just made a lot of sense. I talked with Francisco and we connected and agreed on all the same things. It felt like that partnership was meant to be, so I really wanted to go ride for them. Francisco’s given me all the support since day one. He’s the best boss in the world! He’s such an amazing person. He never puts an inch of pressure on any of us. He makes the most stressful things seem fun. He’s really inspirational. All he wants us to do is try our best. He works so hard with me on the boards and the sails, he does everything I ask, it’s like 150% effort and support for me at all times. He’s like my friend more than a boss. He’s done everything he could to help me.
