Cancelled flights, closed roads, landslides and snow, are not normally events you associate with the Canary Islands, but the havoc of Storm Emma extended well into the southern flank of Europe. While Lanzarote, Tenerife and Gran Canaria battled the storm’s effects, windsurfers on Fuerteventura saw the unusual weather pattern bring strong winds and one of the best swells in years.
