An unconventional opportunity
Nowadays we are closer connected than ever before. In our modern times of Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp we are in a constant mode of getting the latest news and being connected with the world. Everything seems like a click away, which has good and bad sides. You can easily lose track of real life and miss all the endless possibilities that surround you on a daily basis. Nevertheless you can also use it as a tool to stay in touch and be inspired by your friends. In my case, I saw a picture on facebook that was posted by a friend with the headline – “My beautiful backyard”. It showed a perfect barreling wave behind his house in Tasmania. He told me a lot of good things about the remote life on his island located south of Australia. I wrote back straight away to get information about the best spots and timing to go there. A few seconds later I received a prompt message, if I would be interested in joining him on a surf trip in the next few days as he wanted to visit a remote stretch of coastline during his holidays.
