POLAKOW
JC: As a photographer there are many instances when you take a shot that you wonder what it might have looked like from a different angle. That unique millisecond when light falls onto the sensor of a digital camera, capturing one distinctive aspect of a scene with one particular lens. Here we have a great example with two sequences of wave maverick Jason Polakow, tearing apart a decent-sized Ho’okipa section during the Spring 2012 NeilPryde photo shoot. In this target-rich environment Jay Haysey has captured the action from the land, and, if you look closely in the next shot, you can even see Yours Truly in the white helmet, busily firing away.
