In 2012 Alex Mussolini finished his most successful year on the PWA world tour claiming 3rd place in the rankings in the prestigious company of fellow countryman Victor Fernandez and two-time World Wave Champ Philip Koester.
At 29 years of age ‘Musso’ seems to be maturing – like a fine bottle of Rioja – into the full-bodied pro sailor package. Musso’s first taste of windsurfing was on the party island of Ibiza in 1992 where his father first introduced him to the sport.

After spending some years honing his skills at his local beach Castelldefels, 13 kms south of Barcelona’s city centre, he became so addicted to the sport that the family sent him packing to Hawaii to attend the Maui Ocean Academy.
