SUB ZERO
Fortunately I had managed to find a small rock outcrop at the far end of the sand strip which jutted out just enough to provide a tiny bit of sanctuary from the wind which was easily 40 knots plus at times. Even so, the sand seemed to be swirling round into my haven and despite the cover, it felt just as cold as out in the raw wind. Weirdly my fingers felt fractionally warmer without gloves on as I was able to keep them moving, but nonetheless this was without doubt the coldest conditions I have ever taken shots in for a substantial amount of time. Actually, there was one other session up north at Bamburgh I seem to recall and that also involved Blacky; funny that!
