THE WIND IS FREE
Personally I have no problem with wind farms although there are plenty of environmentalists who would argue night and day against their viability and aesthetic appeal. Wind has always been an important natural source of energy to mankind. Ancient mariners used the power of the wind to explore and discover the wind. Farmers used windmills to pump water and grind their grain. Over the past decade wind turbine construction has increased by over twenty five per cent although they still only account for a tiny portion of the world’s energy demands.
