FOOD
For sure the best thing about Lake Garda is taking advantage of the great Italian cuisine before and after your session, with many Pizzerias available close to the sailing spots to burn off those extra calories windsurfing! If you want to eat something different, then Torbole is again the spot for a larger variety. One of the most famous places to eat and a haven for meat lovers is the “Steakhouse”, it is located in Malcesine and is a great venue during the summer as they have a large, scenic outside dining area.
GETTING THERE
Verona, Bergamo or Milano are the best airport options. If you don’t want to rent a car and are flying with your equipment, the best option is to contact your accommodation provider and ask for an airport transfer.
CIAO
For its scenery, rich Italian culture and reliable wind, Lake Garda is hard to beat. It can get busy but there is a real feeling of windsurfing culture in the area that celebrates our sport and feels good to be a part of as a visitor or local and I think Lake Garda definitely deserves to be on any flat water windsurfer’s bucket list. Hopefully see you on the water or in the Pizzeria enjoying ‘la dolce vita’! Ciao, Riccardo.
