JOHN SKYE – A DESIGN FOR LIFE

TYPICAL DAY!
My typical day…. I take my daughter to school in the morning. Then I head straight to the office. The overlap between Gran Canaria and China is in the morning so I have until around 10 or 11am depending on how late they work to communicate with the factories. So mornings are fairly intense. After 11 I deal with all the matters that need to be taken care of in Italy. I work with the graphics teams and help modify all the graphic designs over there. It’s a quite time consuming process to get everything working from a visual, functional and production point of view. Then if it is windy I normally head off to the beach around 12-1pm. If it is flat water, I test slalom, freestyle or freeride, if it’s nuking and there are waves I might go to Pozo or Vargas and test wave sails. I am usually home for around 4 or 5pm. I spend a few hours with the kids and Nayra, at the beach or at the park or whatever. We have dinner and put the kids to bed. If there is still work to be done I then go back on the computer in the evening. China is 7 hours ahead, which is almost a working day, so it really helps to answer any problems or ask questions in the evening. Otherwise it is really easy to lose a day. If I can send an email at night before going to bed they can deal with it that day and I will have the reply the following morning so it can save a lot of time.
