JC: The title may have been finally won in Hawai’i, but battles in Denmark and Pozo all counted equally towards the overall crown. A few years ago Brawzinho was well known to be weaker on port tack, but years of hard graft have made him a formidable force – whichever way the wind’s blowing.
MB: I really enjoy going to Pozo. I go there early every year and sail a lot over there. It’s hard work, but at the same time it’s not for me. I stay in a hotel with my friends and we go sailing every day in good conditions. All those little things and hours on the water obviously help you. At the end of the day, the hours on the water made a difference. Looking back I’m happy that I put the time in over the past years.
