LAST HAUL
The last time myself and the very same crew paid a call to the stunning coastline at Praa Sands for a shoot was way back on the 18th of April 2003 to be precise. My only window of opportunity was a moon-lighting session which lasted a mere forty five minutes, since I had to be at the BWA Cornwall wave classic for official duty later that morning. Jeez, thirteen years have flown by! But that quick hit and run session left me gasping for more and Praa has been on my hit list for a return trip ever since. I remember what hit me at Praa was the mind blowing scenery bookmarking both ends of the lush sandy bay, while translucent bowling waves with a heavy shore dump provided the bounty on the water. Yep this place was an amazing amphitheatre and for a shooter, loaded with lots of cool angles with barrelling cross offshore waves which Timo and Blacky ransacked on this brief but productive raid. Little did we realize on that random day thirteen years ago that Praa is a fickle place to score firing and one of the earliest Motley Crew sojourns ever recorded had fortuitously hit it on an epic day!
