Sure enough there were two or three microlites whizzing around, so we were going to have to be extra cautious. Despite the interrupted air space the weather was glorious and we were able to cruise around for a good twenty minutes before and during the 1pm race. Down on the ground there were hundreds of rigs on the beach, marquees galore and thousands of cars and campers in the parking areas.
