BROADHAVEN – BREAD OF HEAVEN
In light of yesterday’s shenanigans with endless waves at Newgale we decided to head further south towards Broadhaven hoping for a slightly cleaner set up. Once again the clock was ticking and crawling through the narrow lanes between spots was adding to the frustration. Finally, we made it to last possible option for any decent action and sure enough the waves looked far more inviting, despite a number of surfers in the line-up. Broadhaven is a stunning location with cliffs either side of the bay making for very gusty winds at high tide. We’d arrived at around mid-tide, which must have been right on the edge of its sailable window. On the inside, the water almost looked becalmed but, just to the outside of the break there were definitely a few white caps ruffling the water.
