After a couple of feeler rides, the kid from Vargas was throwing buckets and sending his fins into Takas with ease, comfortable on the twin fins he normally rides. The next step was when we traded boards. This was bound to be interesting. I handed him one of the new Quads, which traditionally hold-in more, but the result was the same. He was spinning like always. Through-the-lip, into rotational moves that had me scratching my head. I too enjoyed the sensation of the twin fin, but at the end of the session we both agreed that we still preferred our own boards as they simply suited the way we each sail better.
