GUNSAILS MARCH - TOP

BRITTANY – FRENCH SCORE

LAST BLAST
After a quick stop in town to allow Thomas to refuel in a local boulangerie we were back on the road headed to a new spot called Paulbrehen down the coast for another down the line session. This rocky stretch of the coastline was far more exposed to the wild Atlantic than the sheltered point at Ile Aux Vaches and the swell was absolutely pumping with waves stacked up out to sea as far as the eye could see. With just a few farmhouses cottages dotted along the cliffs this was a stunning unspoilt stretch of coastline with beautiful views of the Atlantic and its crashing waves. The launch at Paulbrehen looked precarious and it took Traversa twenty minutes to navigate the shorebreak after plenty of beatings which would no doubt have sent most mere mortals back to shore. Once out in the open ocean Traversa made his way upwind to the outside peak and as you might expect ripped the place apart alone until he had no more strength to carry on sailing.
