BRITTANY – FRENCH SCORE

For those UK windsurfers seeking a bit of adventure and a quick hit and run mission to France, ferries depart from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth as well as the channel tunnel so there are always plenty of options. With over 2000 kms of coast to discover, there are numerous islands, beaches and ports to explore in Brittany as well as plenty of famous windsurfing spots such as La Torche and Crozon, as visited by the PWA. I would thoroughly recommend a trip to North West France. As the crow flies Brittany is actually closer to the south coast of England than North West Ireland and has a large Atlantic swell window. If you fill up a car with like-minded sailors, then obviously a trip to France becomes even more economical, plus you can also bring back a few bottles of red for the wife! So if you fancy an exciting but relatively easy windsurfing trip where you are able to bring all your own toys, North West France is an awesome option and I am sure you won’t be disappointed!
