Many say the pearl white sandy beaches of Esperance are the finest in Australia. Throw in translucent blue water and steady cross-offshore wind grooming perfect swell – and you pretty much have the ideal recipe for some of the best beachbreak wave sailing in the world.
As a photographer its amazing colours and pristine waves are tough to beat, so I decided to hedge my bets for my annual pilgrimage to Western Australia and make it an all-or-nothing call. This year it was Esperance – or bust!
