34: What is the toughest move you have ever landed and how did you feel when you pulled it off?
Don’t remember a single best one bit I think landing a few clean Push Forwards were probably the hardest moves. It’s a tricky move as you need special conditions and it’s just not possible to try every day, so to finally get a clean one feels great. Also, some carving Wave 360s are really fun in clean waves, it’s an old move but still hard to get a sick one, so when it happens it also feels great.
35: How do you feel about being one of the riders on the Red Bull Storm Chase?
I feel happy about it. I was glad to have the votes from everyone. Also it’s a great chance for me as I think the sailors will be pushing it more than ever once we hit the storm. I just want to see the level go higher and to be part of it. It’s going to be something new and crazy for all of us, I’m excited to see what that’s going to be like, and none of us really know what we’re letting ourselves in for.
36: What will it be like sailing in 70-80 knots?
SUPER SCARY! I don’t know man, 80 knots? To be honest it doesn’t reach that hardly ever anywhere, but let’s see what happens… The 50 knot range is already a lot of wind and I can’t even imagine what it will be like with over 65 knots. I think if someone really wants to they can go so high – in that wind the jumps will be more like flying and probably hard to calculate the landings!
37: Which location most appeals to you and why?
The US East Coast should be different. I’ve never windsurfed anywhere on that coast. Tasmania is far away but I always wanted to see what it’s like over there so that could be fun and an adventure.
