CANARIES FLY SOUTH FOR THE WINTER

As for myself, it was a bit of a saga for me because a week or so before I’d gone into an air trying to get all new-skool and lost it coming down really hard into the deck of my board with both my shins.  I actually thought I had broken both of my legs! So still extremely sensitive, sailing was ok as long as I didn’t poke or touch them. I was having a pretty fun session until I went into a 360 that didn’t quite go right. Obviously Murphy had a say in matters and, in the rumble of the whitewater, something smashed directly into the same spot, leaving me screaming like a banshee.

So whilst I’m writhing in pain groveling in the water, I look up and see JC and the helicopter come over the hill. Thankfully adrenaline or whatever it was kicked in to keep sailing, but it wasn’t the last of that situation to rear its ugly head.
