JC – What ambitions do you have left in windsurfing?
BG – Windsurfing has significantly changed or actually shaped my life, it will forever be the topic of my everyday life. I really want to be one of those people who revolutionize the sport, in Morocco or worldwide. I want to be part of those who strive for the development of windsurfing as a sport and for humanity as whole. I want to be a good role model and bring great positive vibes to communities around the world and my community in Morocco through windsurfing. Something great is always possible. In Morocco impossible is nothing, just like the whole country is behind realizing a dream of organizing a football world cup, I also want to be part of those people who make impossible manoeuvres and sail impossible spots etc.
JC – How much visa red tape etc. do you have to deal with as a Moroccan when travelling all over the world?
BG – I can’t quantify this, but it is a process with a lot of hassle. It is part of the journey and I wish it was easier, but at the same time it makes the whole thing more special when it is not easier. I love to go to Rabat or Casablanca or Marrakech to request a visa, and even sometimes applying for a visa to the UK to go and apply for a visa to Barbados, it’s a fun trip!
