Totally unaware of Timo’s woes, Jamie was straight out into the thick of it and was fearlessly racking-up his own massive aerials on the biggest sets he could find. This was definitely no location for the feint-hearted and Jamie was utilising every ounce of his skill and experience to fly high over the gnarly sections. Timo was hurting in more ways than one and despite his swollen ankle forced himself back out on the water after watching Jamie nailing one of the biggest aerials we have ever see him stick. For the next hour the two sailors traded epic waves on this wild Irish beach until their arms could take no more. Right on cue as they came in for a short break, Timo’s brother Finn arrived bearing news that Magheroaty was looking pretty tasty just around the corner, so in order to protect Timo’s ankle from further agony we headed over in search of less punishing conditions. Surprisingly, Jamie has never ever sailed this famous Irish spot before, so we were all excited to see him for the first time in this ultimate windsurfing playground.
