“Windsurfing is basically my life! If it was not for windsurfing what the heck would I be doing today? I have no idea honestly! Thanks to windsurfing I have met thousands of people, learned different languages and most importantly, made a whole family around the world! Windsurfing has opened doors in every continent and thanks to windsurfing I have the best friends in the world! I love windsurfing because it is the best feeling when you hit a ramp and go as high as you can! You can improvise basically every move when you are up there; then you have another amazing feeling when you are on a perfect wave and you hit that lip at the right time. It is so hard and challenging to make every move perfect! I love that feeling when you make an amazing cutback and you really know inside you that it was good!
My travelling partners have become brothers to me and one of the most beautiful things in windsurfing is: we are a family! No matter if we compete against each other, no matter if we lose to our best friend or any PWA competitor, we remain a big family. Windsurfing is not like other sports where some athletes fight against each other or they have such strong rivalry that they don’t even say ‘hi’! I thank windsurfing for everything I have, the sport has taken me to where I am right now and I would not swap that for anything!”
