ARUBA LOVE
During my last 48 hours on the island it dawned on me how much of a windsurf paradise Aruba really is. I started with a 7am session in flat water at the “Boca Pool”, followed by “Fisherman’s huts” flat water freestyle, and then sunset starboard tack jumping at “The Dunes”. The next day I was in the “Boca Pool” at 9am, followed by “Boca Grandi” freestyle mixed with starboard-tack jumping, then port-tack jumping at “Rodger’s Beach” with 14-time World Champion Sarah Quita Offringa, and rather than packing for my flight I opted for a sun-downer session with the Vela crew at “Fisherman’s huts”, followed by a cold beer at Craft. The contrast in my feelings between this trip and my earlier one could not have been greater. In 2011 I couldn’t wait to leave, now I can’t wait to return!
