KUROSH
Being in Miami and the US in general, you feel that you to have to go big and pimp it up. No one will judge you for it, which is why we went for the massive truck instead of renting a minivan. I mean how are you going to cruise the strip with a minivan? That’s right, you can’t, this was MIAMI after all! It is true that I only brought my 9.5 and biggest board, but it was with calmness in my mind. The 9.5 and big slalom board is what I call the ‘Miami One Design’ which means that you can literally sail this gear every day, and it turned out to be, well, near to perfect, not only for the racing but also the trip with JC. The weather gods were definitely with us on this trip as the moment I dropped-off JC at the airport, the clouds rolled in over the city and the Miami waters morphed into pre-hurricane Sandy mayhem. Looking back, I definitely miss that truck, the bridge sailing and the beer sessions with JC. Next time we’ll have to persuade Carter into coming into one of the beach clubs with us to take photos of chicks in bikinis popping champagne!
