I’ve done a few mad things in my life, but I literally decided to book the flight to Miami at 11pm and was on the way to the airport five hours later. Due to the possibility of the Storm Chase my trip was going to be short and sweet – just 48-hours in Miami in total. Even Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas from the Vice Squad would have trouble completing this assignment. After nearly missing my ferry and all sorts of super-stressful travel chaos en-route, I was handed an upgrade into Business Class on United Airlines just as I was boarding the first flight to New York. As I sipped champagne in my lie-flat seat, I felt like my luck was finally changing. Maybe we could pull-off this mission? A few glasses later I felt even more confident. When I arrived in Miami, Kurosh and Sean rolled up in this massive truck, definitely not under any guise as undercover agents. After five minutes on the road I started to wonder whether their main motivation to come to Miami was purely to rent this pimp wagon? I have to admit it was a pretty nice vehicle, gleaming white, with a massive silver grill and perfect for cruising the strip. Before I crashed-out, we managed to drink three jugs of ale while discussing our plans for the next day and, from what I remember, we decided to set course for Key West early the following morning.
