PWA FUERTEVENTURA DAY 4 HIGHLIGHTS: THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY
Day 4 at the PWA Slalom X in Fuerteventura delivered a rollercoaster of emotions for the fleet. Sarah Quita was crowned world champion after dominating the later stages of the women’s racing, while it was a brutal day for the likes of Maciek Rutkowski and Jordy Vonk in the men’s who both suffered disastrous crashes in the last men’s final (Jordy was sent to hospital after his full speed wipe out). Their misfortune opened the door for Pierre Mortefon, who capitalized brilliantly to take a strong overall lead heading into the final day. Meanwhile, Matteo Iachino continued his steady ascent, moving into second place thanks to his consistency across the heats. Take a look at the video highlights here:
