Full Crossing Documentary: 18 Hours on the North Sea

Back in 2024 Bob van der Burgt took on the challenge of becoming the first ever person to windsurf from the Netherlands to the UK and back within a single day. Bob’s journey was a crazy 400-kilometer journey across the North Sea which took 18 gruelling hours. His goal was to raise as much money as possible for children with muscular diseases (Spieren voor Spieren). This documentary tells the story of his crossing, the preparation, the ups, the downs and the end result!

In 2024 I took on the challenge of becoming the first person ever to windsurf from the Netherlands to the UK and back within a single day. A crazy 400-kilometer journey across the North Sea. My goal: raising as much money as possible for children with muscular diseases (Spieren voor Spieren). This documentary tells the story of my crossing: the preparation, the ups, the downs, but most importantly, the end result for Spieren voor Spieren. I am incredibly proud and grateful for what the entire Surfen voor Spieren team has achieved, and I hope you enjoyed watching this documentary. Thanks to all the sponsors, supporters, and everyone who donated: together we raised €82,600 for Spieren voor Spieren. Would you still like to make a donation to this cause? You can do so at surfenvoorspieren.nl or surfingformuscles.com.
