AINSDALE BEACH
Ainsdale Beach is a shallow shelving sandy beach offering very similar sailing conditions to Southport, but is not as popular with locals. It is possible to sail 2 – 3 hours either side of high tide and this location is suitable for almost any level of sailor, depending on the strength of the wind the previous day. In light winds, the water is fairly flat and excellent for beginners to learn gybing and water starts. In stronger winds, the sea becomes choppier and is more suited to experienced sailors.
