BALMEDIE
From Newburgh to Aberdeen this ten mile stretch of sand is one of Britain’s longest. The main access point is at Balmedie where there is a car park. The beach is safe throughout its length and being so long, never gets crowded. There is one downside; the beach is backed by dunes of very fine sand, which gets blown around quite dramatically when the wind is offshore. SE facing, best in S to SE winds.
