This very flat bay offers a great speed sailing or beginners course and the connection to Brancaster Beach makes this spot great for sailors of all levels. The strong tides at Brancaster Staithe can cause problems though and also means that it’s only possible to sail one or two hours either side of high tide. Beginners who are just starting are recommended to learn how to swim quickly.
