BRIGHTLINGSEA
The point where the river Colne splits creates a very safe sailing area for both novice and experienced sailors as the tide is usually weak. Varied winds at Brightlingsea provide the ability to sail across the river from bank to bank in either direction at most times. The only problem with this location is that low tide can reveal a muddy surface, which can get into equipment.
