CAMBER SANDS
Two venues in one, the Sands and the lesser-known Rocks, both are ideal for wave riding in strong winds. The Rocks throw the better waves but both parts of the beach work in SW while a W holds the faces up a bit better. The sea goes out half a mile or so at low tide and returns very fast. If it’s very windy or Broomfield is dumping, Camber is the easier to launch from but if the wind is blowing 5.0 or more these beaches should only be sailed by experienced short board sailors.
