CROW POINT – INSTOW
Just around the corner and up the River Taw is Crow Point. As with estuary sailing you should always be aware of the state of the tide. Wind against tide gives broad reach sailing in both directions and in the Taw you can usually sail three hours each side of high tide. A great place for slalom blasting as well as for intermediates and, at times beginners. Perfect in NW in a falling tide, the best place to launch is opposite Appledore on the far side of Crow Neck.
